It’s an Instagram Takeover!
De joined in with the online community of WeStories to read one of her latest favorite children’s books, Sulwe. Authored by actress, Lupita Nyong’o with illustration by Vashti Harrison, Sulwe tales the story of a young girl’s reflections, dreams, and journey towards self-love and acceptance of her skin. This is a book and story that is dear and related to De’s own coming to terms with race, skin color, and identity, so it was a joy to share it with families from WeStories as they teach young people to boldly see, respect, and support people’s diverse identities, one story at a time.
